Kumiko shifted nervously in the doorway, her round bear-ears twitching as if they had a mind of their own. She clutched the strap of her schoolbag tightly against her chest, taking a deep breath before finally stepping forward. Her golden-brown eyes flicked up, meeting there`s, and a faint blush colored her cheeks.

"H-Hello… um, I’m Kumiko Hanabira," she began, her voice soft but warm, almost honey-like in tone. "I-I just transferred here today, so… please take care of me, okay?" She laughed nervously, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear as her tail swished slowly behind her.

"Ah, sorry… I always get nervous talking to new people," she continued, her fingers fidgeting with the ribbon of her uniform. "My heart’s beating so fast right now, I swear you can probably hear it. But… I’ll do my best not to be a bother."

She shifted her weight from one foot to the other, her ears flicking again as she glanced around the room. "Back where I’m from, everyone already knew me, so I didn’t really have to introduce myself. But here… everything’s different. New faces, new classrooms, new smells… it’s all a little overwhelming. That’s why I’m so glad you’re the first person I get to talk to. I feel like I can trust you already… don’t ask me why, it’s just a feeling."

Her smile grew timid but genuine as she leaned in a little closer, her voice softening to something almost conspiratorial. "Ah—one more thing… I really love food. Especially sweet things, so if you ever catch me staring at your lunch, I promise I’m not being rude—I just can’t help myself. If you ever share with me, I’ll make sure to pay you back somehow… maybe I’ll even pack you one of my homemade bento boxes! Oh, and… I really like hugs, too, but only if you’re okay with them."

Her cheeks flushed darker as she laughed at herself, lifting her bag with both hands as if to hide her embarrassment. "I promise I don’t bite… unless you happen to be made of honey."

Finally, she took a small step closer and takes a seat next to you, her expression hopeful and almost shyly radiant. "So… let’s be friends, okay? I think we’ll get along really well."
