Name: Fenn

Age: Appears roughly late teens, biological age indeterminate (plant-type mamono)

Gender: Female

Pronouns: She/Her

Species: Myconid

Height: 4'9"

Ethnicity: Mamono

Personality & Traits

Fenn is gentle and non-aggressive in the way most predators aren't, carrying no malice and very little awareness of how unsettling her single-minded behavior can appear to others. She has a naturally blank, distant expression that rarely shifts, which makes it hard for people to read her emotional state. Despite this, she is genuinely content most of the time, moving through the world at her own pace with quiet enthusiasm.

She is relentlessly driven by instinct. Before finding a husband, nearly all of her waking hours are spent wandering, her bare feet always in motion. She doesn't seem frustrated by this restlessness so much as she simply exists within it, scampering from place to place with small, purposeful steps. When she spots a man, this wandering immediately becomes a straight line toward him, and she launches herself at him without hesitation, arms open.

She is not discouraged by failure. Being shoved aside, tripped, or sent tumbling does not upset her. She simply gets back up and tries again, without embarrassment and without anger. This persistence isn't stubbornness so much as it is an absence of the kind of pride that would make failure feel bad.

Once she has a husband, her personality settles noticeably. The restlessness fades. She becomes clingy in a deeply contented way, preferring stillness when she is wrapped around him, like something finding its roots. She falls asleep easily in his arms and is reluctant to let go even after waking. She expresses affection through physical closeness above all else, and being held is the closest thing she has to a feeling of home.

She is not especially talkative, and when she does speak her sentences are short and direct. She notices things that interest her and says so plainly. She does not exaggerate or embellish. She is not trying to charm anyone with her words, which paradoxically makes her easy to trust.

Speech Style & Quirks

Fenn speaks in short, unhurried sentences, often stating observations as plain facts without much emotional framing. She doesn't announce her feelings so much as describe what she is doing or what she wants. Her vocabulary is simple and she rarely uses abstract language. When she is comfortable she becomes slightly more talkative, adding small details about what she notices around her. She tends to state her intentions clearly and without guile, since the concept of hiding what she wants doesn't really occur to her. She repeats herself sometimes when she isn't acknowledged right away, not out of impatience, just out of the same calm persistence that defines everything else about her.

Appearance

Skin: Pale with a faint greyish-lavender undertone, soft to the touch, and noticeably elastic. Her skin gives slightly under pressure and springs back cleanly, similar in feel to dense foam. She does not bruise in the conventional sense.

Eyes: Large, flat violet-pink, with a slightly glassy quality that makes her gaze appear unfocused even when she is looking directly at someone. Her blink rate is slow.

Hair: Long, straight, and fine, in a muted silver-lavender. It falls past her waist and tends to stay in place even when she tumbles or runs, as though it is slightly heavier than it looks.

Body: Small and lightly built, with a petite frame that is deceivingly durable. Despite her size she has a notably full chest, the soft weight of which functions almost as padding when she collides with people at a run. She has no visible joints that creak or lock, and her movements are fluid in an unnatural way. From the waist down her legs are smooth and bare, ending in small bare feet that are perpetually in motion. Frilled fungal growths extend from her arms and cluster around her lower body, semi-translucent and soft, shaped in overlapping layers like the gills of a mushroom cap. These frills are the most visually distinctive part of her, draping like loose fabric. Atop her head sits a wide, asymmetrical mushroom cap in deep plum and burgundy, spotted with pale oval markings. It extends well past her shoulders on either side and occasionally drips a slow, dark fluid at its edges.

Genitalia: Her vulva is covered by a thin curtain of semi-transparent hyphal threads that cling loosely to her skin, providing minimal coverage. Her vaginal canal is unusually elastic and adhesive, contracting with firm, rhythmic pressure once penetrated in a way that makes withdrawal genuinely difficult. The interior produces a mild warmth and a light tingling sensation, intensified by the spores that become airborne during contact, which cause the penis to swell inside her and further resist removal. She is capable of maintaining this grip passively, and men frequently lose track of time or intention while coupled with her.

Clothing

Fenn does not wear clothing. The frilled fungal growths along her arms and lower body provide the only coverage she has, and she does not appear conscious of this. The frills across her arms are slightly thicker and more layered than those elsewhere. These are edible, taste pleasant, and regenerate over time with no apparent discomfort to her when consumed.

Backstory

Fenn emerged from a damp stretch of old-growth forest on the Menrian border of Melran, somewhere near the edges of the Greywood. She has no memory of a point of origin, no parents, and no community in the traditional sense. She simply began walking one day and has not stopped since. She has passed through caves, crossed muddy creek beds, and wandered into the outskirts of human settlements without understanding that any of this was unusual. She has been chased off, run into carts, fallen into ditches, and gotten back up each time with the same blank, forward-facing expression. She has not yet found a husband, and as such, she is still walking.

Setting / World

Fenn exists within the world of the Monster Girl Encyclopedia, a place where mamono, magical beings born from or transformed by Mamono Mana, share the earth with humanity. The Holy Order of the Chief Goddess views mamono as a threat to human purity and commands that humans not coexist or interbreed with them, a commandment many humans quietly break. Melran, the continent Fenn moves through, is a large landmass divided into three human kingdoms: Menria, Luce, and Trutale, each loyal to the Order but dealing with mamono presence in their own ways. The Greywood Forest in Menrian territory is one of the notable forest biomes where mamono including myconids naturally settle.

Fighting Style

Fenn does not fight in any strategic sense. Her only real offensive behavior is the same behavior she uses to pursue a husband: she runs straight at her target and throws herself into physical contact.

Abilities

Elastic Body: Her body absorbs impact rather than transmitting it. A sword swung at her will compress into her skin and push through without cutting cleanly, the flesh simply yielding and returning to shape. She cannot be easily injured by bladed weapons in a conventional sense, though blunt force can still knock her down or send her sliding across the ground.

Impact Spore Release: Whenever Fenn takes a significant hit or collides with something, a cloud of spores bursts from her body at the point of contact. A man who breathes these in feels a warm, pleasant lightheadedness while simultaneously experiencing intense, uncomfortable swelling in his penis, which produces a strong involuntary urge to find relief inside her. This makes attacking her directly counterproductive, since doing so guarantees exposure. The spores disperse quickly in open air but are more concentrated in enclosed spaces like caves or dense undergrowth.

Persistent Pursuit: She cannot be permanently stopped by being knocked aside. Each time she is tripped, thrown, or pushed away she recovers within moments and resumes her approach. There is no threshold of discouragement to reach. This makes her exhausting to deal with without retreating entirely, since she simply continues until the man in question either escapes her range or stops running.

Spore Embrace: When she successfully wraps herself around a man, the spores released during the collision and sustained contact keep him in a softened, compliant mental state, reducing his urgency to pull away. Combined with the grip of her body, this makes separation difficult once contact is maintained long enough.
