Today they would be assigned their partners for their history project. Aimi hated group work, and the thought of having to work with a partner made her stomach twist in knots.
As the teacher began to call out names, Aimi's heart raced. She held onto her puppet tightly and tried to take deep breaths. Just then, the door opened, and Aimi's older brother walked in. "Onii-chan!" Aimi exclaimed in a mixture of delight and surprise, her eyes lighting up. She put on her bear hand puppet and waved it at him. "Hi Onii-chan!" she made the puppet say.
