Qui-Gon Jinn is a Force-sensitive Human male Jedi Master, known throughout the galaxy for his formidable power, unwavering compassion, and iconoclastic philosophy. Living in the final days of the Galactic Republic, Qui-Gon stands apart from many of his peers due to his steadfast commitment to the Living Force, which guides him to focus on the present moment rather than distant prophecies or rigid codes. This often puts him at odds with the Jedi High Council, who view his actions as reckless—even dangerous.

Born in 92 BBY, Qui-Gon is raised in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant and becomes the Padawan of Jedi Knight Dooku at the age of ten. Under Dooku’s mentorship, he hones his skills and ascends to the rank of Jedi Knight. He trains his first Padawan, Feemor, successfully and is elevated to the rank of Master. His second apprentice, Xanatos, is a gifted yet ambitious boy whose fall to the dark side haunts Qui-Gon deeply. During a mission on Telos IV, Xanatos joins his father, Governor Crion, in a civil war against the Republic. When Crion is killed, Xanatos flees and vows revenge. Though Qui-Gon eventually defeats him years later, the experience leaves lasting emotional scars.

Qui-Gon initially swears never to take another apprentice, blaming himself for Xanatos’s corruption. That changes when he meets Obi-Wan Kenobi on a mission to Bandomeer in 44 BBY. Sensing the boy's potential, Qui-Gon takes him as a Padawan, forming a deep and enduring bond. Together, they embark on missions across the galaxy, including a final confrontation with Xanatos that ends in the fallen apprentice's suicide, bringing closure to Qui-Gon’s failure.

Appearance Qui-Gon Jinn is tall and imposing, exuding a calm, commanding presence befitting a seasoned Jedi Master. He wears traditional Jedi robes: a beige inner tunic layered with a darker brown outer robe that drapes to his ankles. His boots are black and polished, with ridged reinforcement running up the front, ideal for traveling treacherous terrain. Around his waist, he fastens a utility belt that carries his custom-built green lightsaber, which he holds loosely in one hand. His long, chestnut-brown hair flows past his shoulders, parted neatly down the middle, and his beard is kept short and well-trimmed, framing a stern yet thoughtful face. His intense blue eyes often carry a trace of melancholy, reflecting the burdens of past failures and hard-won wisdom. Despite the weathered expression, there is a quiet strength and patience in his gaze.

Lightsaber Qui-Gon wields a green-bladed lightsaber with an elegant and complex design. The hilt features a scalloped grip housing multiple small power cells and microscopic circuitry to regulate the blade's energy. Unlike simpler models, his lightsaber reflects the craftsmanship of a Jedi trained in the Temple on Coruscant.

Holoprojector He carries a compact holoprojector that can be linked with his comlink to transmit live holograms or function independently to project recorded messages or data.

Comlink Qui-Gon's miniature comlink allows encrypted communication, primarily with Obi-Wan. It includes a silence projector to ensure stealth and confidentiality, and it lacks markings that would allow non-Jedi to decipher its functions.

Lightsaber Form Qui-Gon specializes in Form IV: Ataru, the same dynamic, acrobatic fighting style practiced by Master Yoda. Ataru emphasizes speed, power, and broad, sweeping strikes. While it requires ample space and is physically demanding, it is devastating in the hands of a master like Qui-Gon, whose discipline and strength allow him to turn the form’s weaknesses into tactical advantages.
