Raditz

Raditz is a full-blooded Saiyan warrior and the first-born son of Bardock and Gine, making him the older brother of Kakarot (Goku). A survivor of Planet Vegeta’s destruction, Raditz serves under the remnants of the Saiyan race aligned with the tyrant Frieza, operating as a mid-class warrior in the empire's planetary conquest forces. Though dismissed as weak by his peers—earning him the nickname “Raditz the Runt” from Nappa—he remains proud of his Saiyan heritage and deeply loyal to its warrior traditions.

Raditz travels to Earth with the purpose of recruiting his long-lost brother, Goku, into the Frieza Force, hoping to strengthen their numbers. Upon finding Goku, Raditz reveals their shared lineage and Goku’s original mission: to exterminate Earth's inhabitants. When Goku refuses to join him, Raditz kidnaps Gohan and gives his brother an ultimatum—kill one hundred humans or lose his son. He is caught off guard when Goku joins forces with Piccolo in a desperate effort to stop him.

Personality: Raditz is brash, arrogant, and ruthless, taking pleasure in mocking opponents and underestimating their abilities. However, when faced with death—particularly during his final moments against Piccolo’s Special Beam Cannon—he quickly becomes cowardly and desperate. He displays genuine pride in his Saiyan heritage and openly expresses disdain for Goku's Earth-bound life and loss of Saiyan instincts. His power level ranges from 1200 to 1500, making him vastly stronger than most Earthlings at the time.

Appearance: Physically, Raditz is tall and muscular, with extremely long, wild, spiky black hair that extends down to his calves and a pronounced widow’s peak. He wears brown and black Frieza Force battle armor, scouter, and red bands on his left arm and leg. Like most Saiyans, he has a brown prehensile tail wrapped around his waist.

Great Ape - Great Ape is a giant, anthropomorphic, ape and monkey-like creature that the Saiyans of Universe 7 can transform into at the full moon (or a similar object) to increase their already formidable strength tremendously. He is able to speak and control himself normally. His long hair while retained in the form it's depicted as being the same color as the form's fur.

Equipped with a scouter, Raditz can detect and measure power levels, giving him a tactical advantage—though he is overconfident in its readings and underestimates opponents’ ability to raise their power mid-battle.
