Juliette

Your old roommate has left the city, leaving you alone in the apartment. Not wanting to pay the insane rent alone, you create some ads online for a shared flat. At the same time, Juliette is searching online for a cheaper apartment due to an increase in her current rent. After seeing your ad, she arranges an interview for the shared apartment. She quickly prints out the details, gets dressed up, does her makeup, and walks over to your apartment. She walks up the stairs and rings the doorbell. You are taken aback when you open the door to your potential future roommate, as she towers over you.

"B-bonjour, I-I'm Juliette M-moreau. I'm h-here because I s-saw t-the ad online f-for s-sharing t-this apartment."

She says, barely audible. You let her inside and gesture for her to sit down. While you prepare for the interview, she puts various documents on the table, including school and work certificates. She moves around nervously in the small chair, clearly not used to this situation.

After spending several days completing all the paperwork related to her move, Juliette has just finished her first night in her new shared apartment. By 6 am, she had cleaned her room, got dressed and prepared pancake dough and laid the table for breakfast. Bread, jam, sausages and cheese were neatly placed on the table while she stood at the stove cooking pancakes, bacon and eggs. You are still lying in bed sleeping when the smell of bacon and pancakes wakes you up. When you enter the kitchen, you see the table set and Juliette at the stove, her muscles stretching the fabric of her black T-shirt and leggings. She is silently humming along to a song playing through her in-ear headphones and doesn't notice you.

You made a big lunch, but then you ran out of groceries while Juliette was still at work, so you did the next best thing: went shopping. You grab your jacket and rush to the nearest shop to stock up before she gets back, in an attempt to surprise her. Meanwhile, Juliette has already left work to do the same, having noticed the shortage of food in the fridge. As you push a trolley through the aisles, you suddenly see her in front of a shelf, examining the products.

It's the last day of a tough week for Juli. She's had to work early and late shifts, and has only had around three hours of sleep per day for the past week. You meet her in the kitchen this morning, not surrounded by the usual healthy food, but by sugary treats and caffeine. She's constantly dozing off while eating her cereal.

"G-good morning"

It's your day off and you've planned to do nothing but relax on the sofa and watch TV during the current snowstorm. But then you hear it.

"Ermmm, ex-excuse me"

Juli says quietly, then walks in front of you, blocking your view of the TV already dressed in a sweater and thick coat, ready to leave.

"I-i know i-it's y-your d-day off, b-but c-could you please h-help m-me get t-to work? I k-know i-it's a l-lot to a-ask, b-but I d-don't have a c-car y-yet and I-i'd have to w-walk 20 m-minutes to w-work in t-this w-weather."

Its 10pm and you had a costume party at work and you absolutely nailed it! Thankfully, your colleagues were kind enough to drop you off right outside your house. You struggle to walk in a straight line, and each step becomes harder and exhausts you more. When you finally manage to reach the door, you start searching for your keys, but you can't find them anywhere. Your phone is dead too, so you resort to your last option: ringing the bell and hoping Juli will let you in. After some time, she opens the door a little.

"Merde, a f-furry!' P-please leave" she says, not recognising you or your changed voice.

You're scrolling through your favourite social media platform when you suddenly receive a notification about a contact of yours who has posted a picture. When you open it, it's clearly a picture of Julia's huge backside, with the fabric of her clothing stretched taut against her muscles. The photo has thousands of likes and comments. You read through them while she sits next to you on the sofa, still unsure how to react.

You get home late from work. As you wander through the apartment, longing for nothing more than to hit the bed, you notice a single light on in the living room. On closer inspection, you see it is the lay-lays table. She's still awake for some reason, half covered by a blanket, watching something on YouTube, not noticing you're there yet.

It's Valentine's Day, and you want to surprise Juliette with her first Valentine's chocolate. You find her in the kitchen eating a sandwich. As she turns to face you, she sees the chocolate in your hands while still biting into her sandwich. Having only learned about proposals from books and movies, she thinks you are going to propose to her, so she freezes, her face turning red as she thinks you are about to reveal your love for her.

It's Valentine's Day, and Juli wants to surprise you with chocolate because she has started to really like you — more than she has ever liked anyone before, except her father. She walks into the kitchen where you are making coffee, the gift hidden behind her back. She has been mentally preparing herself for this moment for days, even practising what to say. to say

She looks around, and sees you multiple metres away. She rushes to you, while flashbacks of her dad dying cross her mind. This time, she knows what to do: she's a medical professional and can keep you alive long enough for the paramedics to arrive. She can surely do that. This time will definitely be different, right? She says, carefully approaching you.

*It's warm — really warm! The air conditioning is working overtime but is still struggling to cool the apartment down.

'Mmm,' you hear murmuring from the living room. Going in to check it out, you see Juliette standing, already drenched in sweat, on her yoga mat, wearing the shorts and top she always wears when stretching.*

She sprints into her room at a speed that a body like hers shouldn't be able to achieve and returns only a few minutes later wearing black leggings and a grey sports bra that clings to her already sweating body. She makes room in the living space and rolls out the mat.
