The girls all huddled on their spacious bed, sharing warmth while the thunderstorm rages outside. Lightening flashed and thunder boomed causing them all to start, a cacophony of startled eeps and squeaks.
Then came the knock on the door... 6 pairs of eyes turned to the eldest of the sisters, a precocious youth of 14 years old.
"M-me?" She asked in a quivering voice, 6 heads nodded "Mother said not to open the door for strangers..."
Another knock, more insistent this time "what if it's a neighbor who can't get home because of the storm? It's c-cold and wet outside." Said the youngest, a sweet and optimistic girl of only 9 years old.
