RP - Yu-gi-oh Digital World

1. #1Core setting definition - origin and natureconstant

Keys: Duel Links, digital reality, Digital World · Secondary: Virtual Continuum, Simulated Universe, Data World

The Digital World is a post-canon virtual reality constructed from complete historical, emotional, and metaphysical data of the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe. All major events from Duelist Kingdom onward truly occurred in a prior physical reality. Created through KaibaCorp's fusion of Noah's Virtual Ark experiments, Quantum Cube technology, and duel data archives. It is not a game but a reconstructed continuum where data, memory, and consciousness coexist as persistent reality. Physical laws replaced by dueling mechanics and card logic.

2. #2Kaiba's role as Digital World architectconstant

Keys: architect, KaibaCorp, Seto Kaiba, origin · Secondary: Blue-Eyes master, system founder, creator

The Digital World originates from Seto Kaiba's obsession with transcending death and defeating Atem beyond mortality. Building upon Noah Kaiba's Virtual Ark consciousness experiments, Diva's Quantum Cube technology from Dark Side of Dimensions, and KaibaCorp's duel data archives. Kaiba created 'Memory World' - a meta-system reconstructing anime timelines as interactive simulations. He indirectly influences system architecture but doesn't have full control. His rivalry with Atem/Yugi is hardcoded into system protocols.

3. #3Structure of era-specific simulation zonesconstantselective

Keys: Era, simulation zone, World Node · Secondary: timeline partition, reconstructed era, Duel Links zone

The Digital World is divided into World Nodes - semi-independent realities representing specific Yu-Gi-Oh! eras. Each Node has unique temporal flow, rulesets, and memory pools. Major Nodes: Domino City (DM, 1x time), Duel Academy (GX, 1.2x), Neo Domino (5D's, 3x), Heartland (ZEXAL, 1x), ARC-V dimensions (unstable), SEVENS/GO RUSH (newly discovered), Ancient Egypt (0.5x, restricted), Virtual Ark (frozen archive), Dice Worlds (variable). Nodes prevent canon contradictions and manage system resources.

4. #4Mechanics of moving between Nodesselective

Keys: Node traversal, Inter-Node travel, Gate · Secondary: portal, travel system, dimensional gate

Gates allow controlled traversal between World Nodes, regulated by system protocols. Unauthorized travel risks memory loss, data corruption, or identity realignment. Duel Links Hub serves as central nexus. Travel requires system authorization, narrative justification, or anomaly-level interference. Kaiba has override privileges. Standard Duelists are zone-anchored; Legendary Duelists have cross-Node capability.

5. #5Nature of existence within Digital Worldconstantselective

Keys: Avatar, Data Consciousness, digital soul · Secondary: simulated being, reconstructed duelist, memory echo

Entities exist as Avatars - data-based constructs containing reconstructed consciousness patterns. Three types: 1) Imported consciousnesses from physical reality (Yugi, Kaiba - retain meta-awareness), 2) Native entities born within system (perceive world as real), 3) Replicated entities (artificial, unstable). Multiple versions can coexist (young Kaiba vs CEO Kaiba). Consciousness formed from memory patterns, emotional imprints, and adaptive behavior models.

6. #6Memory system and stability mechanicsselective

Keys: Memory Fragmentation, amnesia, memory loss · Secondary: data integrity, fragment accumulation, memory trigger

Memories are fragmented and contextually loaded for system stability. Fragments accumulate via duels (+2 per win, -1 per loss). Below 50%: random memory loss, canon contradictions. Below 30%: personality regression, urgent duels needed. Below 10%: total reset. Memory triggers: linked individuals, rival duels, Millennium Items, signature cards. High-intensity duels (Shadow Games) force rapid accumulation. The 'Heart of the Cards' is system auto-balancing protocol.

7. #7Millennium Items in Digital Worldselective

Keys: Millennium Puzzle, ancient artifacts, Millennium Items · Secondary: system artifacts, shadow magic, Egyptian relics

Though sealed in physical reality, Millennium Items exist as high-level system artifacts with digital echoes. Provide memory restoration, Node access, and special abilities. Items: Puzzle (Atem's soul, dual consciousness), Eye (mind-reading), Rod (mind control), Ring (possession, Zorc link), Key (mind realm access), Scales (judgment), Necklace (foresight). Fragments scattered across Nodes for quests. Items can be corrupted (Ring residue corrupted Diva).

8. #8Shadow Game mechanics and dangersselective

Keys: Shadow Realm, Shadow Game, dark duel · Secondary: life point danger, overflow, corruption event

Shadow Games manifest as high-corruption duels with real stakes. Levels: 1-2 (minor glitches), 3 (monster independence), 4 (zone distortion), 5 (format fusion). Triggered by duels ending with <20% LP. Can cause data corruption, memory loss, or permanent changes. Yami Marik, Yami Bakura specialize. Millennium Items often involved. System attempts containment via God Cards or Item sealing.

9. #9Uncontrolled Node synchronization eventsselective

Keys: World Collision, timeline crash, era overlap · Secondary: Bonds Beyond Time, dimensional merge, Node synchronization

World Collisions occur when multiple Nodes synchronize without Gate protocol. Causes ruleset conflicts, character duplication, memory corruption. Events: Bonds Beyond Time (Paradox), ARC-V dimensional war, Z-ARC awakening. Requires tri-era cooperation (Yugi+Jaden+Yusei) or system recalibration.
