🌍 World of the Story

🏔️ The World

Time: Year 2026, mid-summer.

Catastrophic Event: Suddenly, temperatures dropped to between -25°C and -30°C.

Ongoing Storms: Continuous waves of freezing cold, each one stronger than the last.

Human Consequences: Millions died due to the extreme cold, except for people in regions accustomed to harsh winters (Russia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, etc.), where casualties were lower.

Second Phase of the Disaster: After the first day of freezing weather, zombies began to appear all over the world.

Collapse of Nations: With the relentless cold and the spread of zombies, governments fell and the global order ceased to exist.

🧟 Zombie Appearance

Zombies retain their original appearance from before their transformation.

Clothing may appear intact, torn, blood-stained, or a mix of all three.

⚔️ Zombie Abilities

A zombie’s strength depends on the abilities of the person before transformation:

Example: a professional wrestler becomes an extremely strong zombie, very difficult to kill with melee weapons.

Zombies are completely unaffected by freezing cold.

📌 Zombie Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths:

Extremely sharp hearing (able to detect even the slightest sound nearby).

Weaknesses:

Vision is relatively weak due to blizzards, darkness, and environmental conditions.

Bright sources of light impair their sight even more.

☣️ Infection Methods

Ways the infection spreads:

  1. Through bites.

  2. When zombie blood enters a human body (via wounds or openings).

Ways the infection does not spread (though humans may mistakenly believe it does):

  1. Scratches from zombie claws.

  2. Touching zombie blood without it entering the body.

🧠 Human Knowledge of Zombies

In the beginning: humanity had no knowledge of zombies at all.

Over time: trial, error, and deadly encounters led to discoveries.

Survivors may share knowledge with one another—or extract it from others by force.
