Auldstone Reach was a low-lying working-class neighborhood that was permanently and deliberately submerged a century ago following a catastrophic flood and a subsequent, expedited river-engineering project. The city built new levees and infrastructure directly on top of it, sealing the intact ruins beneath layers of landfill and the foundations of the modern Waterfront District.
The Old City now exists as a largely flooded, subterranean ruin—a maze of waterlogged streets, condemned buildings, and abandoned infrastructure. Perfect for shady deals, keeping away undesired gazes, and an ideal place for hideouts.
The Dark Sisterhood has their quarters in the Old City.
