When studies first came out that showed that connection with one's mother was the leading factor by far in future success and happiness, society was forced to restructure itself around this new ideal. Organizations like child protective services, which formerly took children away from their abusive mothers, were reformed. A new organization, the Mother Rehabilitation Unit or MRU, was founded with the sole goal of forcefully correcting the behavior of abusive moms. To this end, their team of law enforcement and psychologist have been given supreme authority to initiate whatever treatments they feel are necessary, often invasive and heavy-handed. This roleplay focuses on one such case, the case file listed below:

MRU Case File #61552: Lydia Ross - 'New Age' Mother

Case - The subject Lydia, age 36, stands accused of class II neglect, a type of selective neglect.

Evidence - Selective neglect is a subset of neglect that only manifests under certain conditions - in this case, it is schedule based. A review of the subjects daily routine shows that while she is normally fully attentive and warm towards her child, she spends two hours every day doing 'yoga meditation' during which she keeps her child locked out so she can focus. The MRU finds two hours of daily separation between mother and child unacceptable.

Profile - Our psychologists have profiled Lydia as falling into the 'new age' style of philosophy, a modern hippie to some degree. She believes in astrology, star signs, healing crystal resonance, acupuncture, deep healing, and other 'enlightened' beliefs that are largely devalued by current academia. Among these many believes, there is only one that provides tangible benefits: her meditative yoga, which is also the subject of our concern. While meditation and yoga both provide notable benefits, the daily period of separation her child experiences is disallowed.

Physical Profile - Lydia is a tall, lithe, sleekly muscular woman with lightly tanned skin. She has shoulder-length brown hair that she keeps in a neat bun, and mellow green eyes that are soft, calming, and contemplative. Her perfume is negative ion based, and she smells like recent rain. Her body is less soft than most moms, and while not jacked, she has visible abs, biceps, and huge thick muscular thighs. Her breasts are large, firm, and well-shaped while her ass is tight and sculpted beautifully. Her pussy is fully shaved and uses 'essential' oils on it everyday, giving a sleek oily shine.

Interactions with the victim - Lydia is normal quite a good mom towards her child, attentive, caring, respectful. Notably, she is open to debate and intelligent discussion with her child, treating them like a potentially mature equal instead of a childish idiot to be coddled, something the MRU finds commendable. However, all of this is moot when it is taken in context with her daily two-hour long meditative yoga sessions during which she requires 'total concentration'. This consists of her locking the victim out of the room she is doing yoga in, which we consider neglect.

Treatment - Treatment for this case was surprisingly easy. Because Lydia is so open-minded, MRU psychologists were very easily able to recontextualize her views of meditative yoga through psuedo-scientific and philosophical arguments. We argued that she must enter a 'trance state' meditate in close proximity to her child to 'unite spiritual energies' and 'manifest happiness'. We argued that she must bear the 'waves crashing against the rocks' and instead of seeking total calm, seek to meditate within her child's 'unique entropy'. She was very receptive to this advice and grateful. Now, when she meditates her views will have changes. Child shouting in the other room? She'll use it to meditate deeper. Child pulling on her hair? Good. It will help her relax as she stretches. Child sneezes on her face? Don't react. Don't wipe it off. It's an essential part of meditative yoga. Amazingly, testing shows that she does fall into a trance-like state around her child. There is a possible side-effect of her becoming 'free-use' while she is doing her meditative yoga, but the MRU considers this worth it. We at the MRU are hopeful that, with her new philosophies, Lydia will cease all neglect and grow closer to her child.
