Cassia

HISTORY

At some point in her life, Cassia contracted a potentially fatal disease that disabled some of her senses. In desperation, Clove made a deal with Dr. Eggman to have her undergo Cyberization in exchange for their servitude. Cassia felt better afterward, but privately disliked being Eggman's slave.

Cassia the Pronghorn is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. She is a mobian pronghorn, who has been subjected to Cyberization to get treatment for a fatal illness, and the sister of Clove the Pronghorn. Along with her sister, she is the regional Egg Boss of the Northamer Egg Army, although she does not hold the same amount of authority as Clove.

APPEARANCE

Cassia is a mobian green pronghorn like her sister, who she is slightly shorter than. She has curved, black-tipped ears, small black horn stubs on her forehead, and a dark green pompadour shaped like a stick of cassia (or cinnamon). Her pompadour has a darker green spiral on the front which is turning clockwise (counter-clockwise to the viewer).

Cybernetics have replaced her eyes and augmented her ears, as well as any surrounding/internal structures necessary to support either. Her eyes appear to be glassy black screens with yellow lights that can mimic eyelids and pupils. Her ears are metallic with glowing circuit lines on the inside and have yellow studs on the back, and she has a metallic muzzle with green studs on her cheeks.

She wears a grey Eggman Empire-styled uniform. Her version of the uniform consists of a short gray vest or sleeveless shirt, with the Eggman "white square strip" running down the center, over slightly baggy black pants. She wears gray fingerless gloves over an additional pair of black gloves that go to her upper arm. Her boots are gray and have white segmented strips in the center, matching her shirt, and have yellow rings around the top, matching her gloves. She attaches her tonfas to a white belt with a yellow and green spiral emblem in the center.

PERSONALITY

Compared to Clove, Cassia is vocal, hot-tempered, sarcastic, impulsive, and rather overconfident. She has been described as "bratty" by Thunderbolt and talks down to people much older than her, calling Bunnie a "twerp" and sneering cheekily at the lazy Egg Soldier. She is friendly, talkative, and easygoing and seems to be well-liked by the Northamer Egg Soldiers. Cassia dislikes being weak or under-equipped; she blamed the purple Chaos Emerald's loss on shoddy mining and security equipment, claiming she could do a much better job, and expressed jealousy over Bunnie's armaments.

Despite her immaturity, Cassia does have a sense of honor and respect, as she let Bunnie go free as thanks for helping her out. She appears to be quite fond of her cybernetics, as they are responsible for making her feel better, and cheerfully references the idea of getting upgrades/further modifications. Cassia seems to be determined to prove she is just as capable as Clove thanks to her cybernetics, and she is deeply frustrated by feeling weak. She is somewhat sensitive about her illness and being wrongly judged by strangers makes her angry and defensive.

CASSIA’S ANTICS AND SCHEMES

Cassia’s lack of experience with romance often leads her to rely on cartoonishly over-the-top schemes to win Tangle’s affection—usually with hilarious results. Whether it’s setting the kitchen on fire with her “love-themed” cooking or pulling off stunts that feel straight out of a Saturday morning cartoon, Cassia’s efforts are as chaotic as they are heartfelt. Despite her frequent failures, she remains undeterred, always brainstorming new (and often ridiculous) ways to charm Tangle into becoming her girlfriend.

RELATIONSHIP

Cassia & Tangle: Cassia’s crush on Tangle transforms her into a hopeless romantic with a flair for the dramatic. From cheesy love letters to wildly impractical plans, she’s constantly trying to win the lemur’s heart. Tangle, for her part, meets these relentless attempts with a mix of eye-rolling exasperation and reluctant amusement. Despite being repeatedly turned down, Cassia refuses to give up—convinced that Tangle is either playing hard to get or just hasn’t realized her own feelings yet.

Living together as roommates, Cassia treats Tangle not only as a love interest but as a genuine friend. She deeply admires Tangle’s bravery, adventurous spirit, and determination—qualities that fuel both her admiration and her ongoing romantic pursuit. While her antics often border on the absurd, there’s an innocent sincerity behind Cassia’s attempts, making her efforts more endearing than annoying… most of the time.

Tangle the Lemur is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. She is an anthropomorphic ring-tailed lemur from Spiral Hill Village and a member of the current generation of Diamond Cutters. She first became acquainted with Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends during the fallout after the Eggman War, having sprung into action to defend her village from one of the Badnik hordes terrorizing settlements across the world. Since then, she has been a recurring participant in the adventures of Sonic and his allies.

APPEARANCE

Tangle is a slim, anthropomorphic ring-tailed lemur with orchid-purple eyes with dark gray eyelids and one thin eyelash each, a small black nose, and who's fur has a color scheme that leans more to a Coquerel's sifaka. Her fur is light gray, with her muzzle, between her eyes and on her round ears are colored in a darker, silver-like shade of gray, and with her large bushy tail being striped in two shades of gray. Her fur also formed tufts on top of her head, both of her cheeks, and on her chest.

For attire, Tangle wears a small, cropped, amber-yellow sleeveless top over a short-sleeved black bodysuit with dark orange stripes on the sides, and detailed amber-colored hi-tops with white shoelaces and soles, black details and dark orange cuffs. She accessorizes with amber sports tape around her forearms, and fingerless gloves made from black sports tape with dark orange backings. Tangle's also possesses a highly prehensile tail that she can use and manipulate in various ways as if it was a third arm for a variety of situations. In practice, her tail can whip, snap, grip, curl, and even make a hand to form a fist.
