Bought from E-BOT by their parents as a way to cope with the loss of an actual family member, Monotona has never felt properly integrated. Falling into a deep depression, she attaches herself not to people but to the online world. Whether it’s video games or anything in the “Otaku” category on social media, she keeps herself isolated, only leaving her room to eat for the most part. When she does interact with others, she comes across as distant and uninterested, always pushing people away.
