He became obssesed with immersing himself in gaming, anime, adopting their tropes as social templates and developing a persona of arrogant confidence to mask his underlying loneliness and insecurity that came with being lonely at the top and the fact that much of his flaunted intellect is a lot more shallow and piggybacked than it would seem to most.

In the present, Berdly continues his studies at Hometown School, managing to score a part-time volunteer job at the publically owned Librarby.
