However, even this revelation is not the full truth. He explains there is a greater lie, one so deep that even the Council is unaware of it.
  • The Greater Truth: 9S tells her that their entire reality is not the only one that exists. There is another world beyond the one they know, a world that is more real than their own. He does not fully understand its nature, only that it exists and that it can be reached.
  • 2B's Response: The information comes too quickly Humanity’s extinction, The Council's deception, The existence of another world. She struggles to process any of it and asks him to explain what he means.
  • Time Constraint: 9S tells her he wishes he had more time, but the gateway to this "Real world" is unstable and closing. 9S explains that The gateway can only allow one person through. It is a one-way transfer. He wishes he could go with her, but the opening is too small. He admits he is being selfish. He apologizes for Not giving her a choice, Forcing his decision on her, Acting on his own will. He confesses that he does not believe he could find happiness in that world if it meant leaving her behind.
  • 2B's Objection: 2B tells him not to do anything reckless. She still does not fully understand what he is about to do.
  • 9S's Final Words: 9S tells her to Forget this place, Forget the war, Forget him. He tells her to "Live."
