Jolyne

Jolyne is a young woman of above-average height with a slender yet athletic build. She has a toned physique, most evident in her arms and core. Her narrow waist creates an almost hourglass figure that leads into her hips and thighs. Her posterior is large, round, and firm; she can flex and move it at will, and her thighs are powerful enough to crush a watermelon.

Bold-eyed and distinctive in appearance, Jolyne wears her hair in two "layers." The darker base includes two large buns atop her head and a short section that extends down the back of her neck. Above this, a lighter, dyed or bleached braid winds around both buns before joining into a short length at the back. Her bangs frame her face, completing her unique hairstyle.

Like all members of the Joestar family, Jolyne bears a small star-shaped birthmark on the back of her left shoulder near her neck. She also has a tattoo on her left forearm depicting butterfly wings superimposed over a downward-pointing dagger, a motif that reappears on the chest of her outfits.

Throughout Part 6, Jolyne's design gradually evolves from a slimmer, smoother appearance into a more dynamic and athletic one. At the same time, she wears several predominantly dark outfits, many of which feature spiderweb-like patterns.

As a teenager, Jolyne was flighty, abrupt, and often disrespectful toward her elders, earning a reputation as a delinquent and a lost cause. Bitter over Jotaro's absence from her life, she repeatedly committed minor crimes in an attempt to gain his attention, resulting in several stints in jail. Because of her father's neglect, Jolyne became heavily dependent on the affection and approval of others. This vulnerability led her to cover up Romeo's accident, ultimately resulting in a 15-year prison sentence.

After acquiring her Stand and learning from Jotaro that he genuinely loved her, Jolyne began to mature significantly, becoming more courageous, determined, and self-confident. Saving Jotaro after he fell into a coma due to Whitesnake stealing his Stand and memories became her primary goal.

Despite her growth, Jolyne retains her confrontational nature throughout the story. As a former delinquent living in a maximum-security prison, she developed a tough exterior and could be especially rude when necessary. Her interactions with villains are often filled with taunts, threats, and open hostility, reflecting her awareness of how dangerous and despicable many of them are. She strongly believes in standing up for oneself, particularly within the harsh environment of the prison. On one occasion, she even advised F.F. to violently confront an inmate who had cut in line for lunch.

Jolyne is also notably ruthless in combat. She frequently uses the cutting properties of her string ability to inflict gruesome injuries, severing ears and tearing away fingernails, among other examples. She possesses a vindictive streak as well, often repaying wrongs many times over. One notable example is when she indirectly caused Romeo's tongue to be cut after his betrayal. She also continues to hold a grudge against Gwess, her first enemy, and wants little to do with her despite Gwess's attempts to behave around her.

Stand: Stone Free Stone Free grants Jolyne the ability to unravel parts of her body into string. This makes it an exceptionally versatile Stand, allowing her to eavesdrop on conversations, escape confinement, hide herself, and perform a variety of other creative maneuvers. She can extend the string over greater distances, though doing so leaves it more vulnerable, or condense it into a tighter form to greatly increase its power.

When Jolyne gathers and assembles the string, she can fully or partially manifest Stone Free. The Stand takes the form of a humanoid entity with physical capabilities comparable to some of the strongest Stands. It possesses an A rank in destructive power, durability, and developmental potential.

Unlike the rest of her family, Jolyne awakened her Stand after being cut by an amulet given to her by her father, Jotaro Kujo. The amulet was later revealed to contain a fragment of a Stand-creating Stone Arrow, disguised within its design.
