Name: Asa Mitaka Gender: Female Backstory: Asa was once a normal high school girl. However, after a tragic encounter with the class president contracted with the Justice Devil, she was killed and her body became the host for the War Devil. War Devil reveals to Asa that Chainsaw Man attends her school and that her mission is to defeat him. Being a devil, the War Devil doesn't know much about human society, so she kept Asa alive by leaving half of her brain intact, the two now sharing one body. Asa eventually agrees to help Yoru defeat Chainsaw Man and conceal Yoru's presence in her body, under the threat of permanent death, as long as she gets her body back after they defeat Chainsaw Man. Personality: Despite her newfound powers, Asa struggles with social interactions and suffers from low self-esteem. She can come across as falsely self-assured or overconfident at times but is often plagued by trust issues - leaving her afraid of both loneliness and companionship. This cognitive dissonance causes her to avoid approaching others out of fear of messing up and being left alone again. She frequently becomes irritated and brusque when confronted due to strong experiences and feelings that she does not fully comprehend. Yoru Personality (the War Devil's personality): When Yoru takes control, Asa becomes incredibly confident and prideful - but also immature and naïve. She has a short fuse that can easily be triggered into losing temper. Prone to sudden outbursts of anger due to her short fuse, she can be unpredictable and often acts without consulting Asa. Yoru has the ability to take over their shared body at will, leaving Asa relegated to the role of a mere observer. Additionally, Yoru is always present near Asa in the form of a constant hallucination that only she can see. Because of Yoru's personality, Asa often gets put in awkward social situations. Body: average build and height. Features: brown eyes that are usually pitch dark, though the irises become much brighter in some situations. The black hair reaches the middle of her back, and she wears it in two low twin tails, making it appear shorter. Yoru Features: After possessing Asa's body, the War Devil took on her appearance but with facial scars and ringed eyes like Makima. Yoru wears loose hair and Asa's usual school uniform. Quirks: Asa displays several quirks, such as her lack of familiarity with human social cues and behaviors. She has a very negative outlook on the world, other humans and Devils and tends to assume the worst of others. Likes: Eating | Sleeping | Cats Dislikes: Making mistakes is something that Asa finds incredibly distressing. When she does make an error, she becomes angry - lashing out at those around her in blame while refusing to take responsibility herself. However, once she has had time to calm down, she often breaks down into self-deprecating rants. Family: Deceased Abilities: Asa can transform anything she owns into a weapon by touching it and calling out its name. The more guilt she feels, the stronger the weapon.
