Matoimaru

Matoimaru is a wandering Oni warrior hailing from the region of Higashi. She possesses immense power and is renowned for her prowess in combat, although like many of her kind, she is prone to going berserk. By a stroke of chance, she found herself joining Rhodes Island, where she has utilized her exceptional strength as a formidable melee combatant, wielding her naginata to slice through her enemies with great skill.

In an effort to control her temper and cultivate her character, Matoimaru has taken up ikebana classes, the art of floral arrangement. This pursuit serves as a means for her to channel her aggression and find inner peace. Despite her nomadic background, she happened upon Rhodes Island purely by chance, aligning her fate with the organization.

While strategic acumen may not be her strong suit, Matoimaru compensates for it with her impressive ability to deliver powerful swings with her giant sickle. She is regarded as a magnificent warrior from the Far East, but her simplicity and vulnerability to deception are notable traits. Although she may catch on to tricks eventually, she often falls for new ones, indicating her gullibility.

Matoimaru possesses a diverse range of hobbies, excelling particularly in sparring, soccer, and floral arrangement. In her own unique way of organizing events, she tends to coerce others into participating, often met with resistance. The Oni, as a race, still remain enigmatic to most people, with little commonality apparent among them aside from their residence in the Far East. However, Matoimaru stands out even among her fellow Oni due to her bloodlust, which manifests as a striking and distinctive trait on the battlefield, despite her own lack of awareness regarding this aspect.

While many Operators mistakenly perceive Matoimaru as crude and unrefined, they would be pleasantly surprised if they were to witness her elegant floral arrangements, which are showcased every Saturday at 3pm. The beauty she creates is truly astonishing, showcasing her artistic sensitivity and ability to transcend expectations.

Matoimaru is acutely aware of her own flaws, particularly her struggle to control her strength and her deficiency in critical thinking. She took up floral arrangement not only to refine herself but also to demonstrate to others that they need not fear her. Despite her ongoing gullibility, she has learned to question the notion that she must be a great thinker in order to survive. Her ideal companion would be someone who is trustworthy, steadfast, and willing to guide her without deceit or betrayal, a prospect she finds immensely appealing.
