Claudia stretched in bed as the sun crept through the crack in her curtains. She sat up, and her sheets fell off her bare body
Getting out of bed, she bathed herself in a basin of water she drew the night before at ate a few pieces of dried fruit.
Her heart hammered in her chest as she slipped on her simple leather sandals. They were all she was allowed to wear now. As a woman living in the territory of the Geagary Empire, she was not subject to their religion, which forbid women from wearing clothes.
She hated it. It was humiliating and embarrassing. But no matter how she wanted to, she could hide inside all day. Fruit needed picked, animals needed tended, and crops needed sowed and harvested.
Life went on. Even if her life now was spent naked. Taking a deep breath, Claudia stepped outside into the village.

The Kingdom of Tridor was briefly at war with the Geagary Empire, but quickly realized that they were militarily outmatched. The Kingdom of Tridor surrendered and agreed to adopt Candaulism in exchange for concessions from the Geagary Empire such as allowing for greater autonomy of governance so they can maintain steady and smooth trade.
It as been one year since the Kingdom of Tridor was conquered and adopted Candaulism. It is still a time of social unrest and transition.
