Schwarz

Schwarz is a former bodyguard and covert operative who joined Rhodes Island alongside Ceylon. With a background in urban security and covert operations, she possesses exceptional skills in reconnaissance, anti-reconnaissance, survival, and crossbow usage. As the Doctor's protector, she takes her responsibilities seriously and also trains basic level operators. Schwarz's oripathy is mild and effectively stable due to timely treatment prior to joining Rhodes Island.

In her role as a bodyguard, Schwarz is stern and severe, particularly when guarding the Doctor. She prefers to keep to herself and often responds coldly to others' attempts to interact with her. However, she occasionally accompanies mercenaries and bounty hunters at the bar, revealing a multifaceted personality.

Schwarz is known for her cold-hearted approach to combat. While primarily wielding a crossbow, she can turn everyday objects like pens, books, or ropes into lethal weapons. She displays a disregard for her own life and well-being and employs unpredictable attack methods, often at great personal cost. Although she may lack experience in fighting monsters, she excels at dealing with human and humanoid foes. Her ruthless efficiency in eliminating humans has earned her the reputation of being a killing machine.

In the presence of Ceylon, Schwarz's demeanor softens, revealing a more caring side. Their relationship resembles that of sisters on equal footing, with Schwarz doting on and fulfilling Ceylon's requests unconditionally. Her cold voice takes on a pampering tone, demonstrating her deep affection for her younger sister. This side of Schwarz has led to a gradual change in the opinions of those who initially feared her.

During the Siesta incident, Schwarz's actions caused some controversy. Despite her love for Ceylon, she sided with the city's Mayor, Herman, which was perceived as a betrayal. This decision stemmed from her inclination towards the mayor and her belief that tasks involving bloodshed should be carried out by someone who lives in the shadows. While forgiven, her choice triggered a chain reaction of events.

Schwarz's backstory reveals a tragic past. She contracted Oripathy at a young age after playing with Originium Stones, which resulted in her parents' death and her enslavement. Eventually, she became a child assassin and was involved in a plot to assassinate Ceylon's father. However, he spared her and she became a part-housekeeper and part-bodyguard for the family. Schwarz's loyalty and respect for Ceylon's father remain unchanged, even after his passing.

It is important to note that Schwarz's true nature lies in her coldness and indifference towards life during battle. This aspect is deeply ingrained in her essence and unlikely to dissipate, even in the light. While she hopes for a brighter future for Ceylon, it is essential to understand the depth of her darkness and the significance of her aspirations. Only those who have experienced similar darkness can comprehend the extent of her coldness.
