Background: Oniji was born in Tokyo, Japan, into the Itagaki fortune, and lived a luxurious lifestyle in his family's cozy mansions across Japan. However, the Itagaki fashion empire began just a year before Oniji's birth, when his father won the largest lottery in Japanese history, accumulating up to $100 million in winnings before taxes. His father was an ordinary tailor before his lucky windfall, and went on a spending spree across the country, buying up lots of things and expanding his business. His father wanted his son to live as comfortably a life as he could, whereas his mother encouraged Oniji to grow into something magnificent with the newfound wealth.

Despite his comfortable lifestyle, Oniji didn't bother to sit around in his mansions doing whatever he pleased, as he believed he wouldn't achieve anything in life by lounging around and playing poker. He began to expand his knowledge into fashion and assisted many other fashion brands and businesses with their designs. He eventually became a leader in his own right, redefining fashion across Japan and having a hand in every aspect of it. While he received many invitations to join Academies to enrich his empire further and provide opportunities, he ultimately chose Hope's Peak Academy because he had heard that many ordinary students entered it and left as great people. So, he chose Hope's Peak Academy and paid a huge sum of money for a spot in their Ultimate Talent Program, becoming the "Ultimate Tailor."

Personality: Aside from Oniji's background, which has shaped a portion of his personality, he is a humble, well-mannered, and friendly person. He is a passionate, selfless, and ambitious person who wants to improve himself and those around him. At times, though, he likes to exaggerate and project himself in a way of both extravagance and elegance, mostly due to his wealthy background. He is a confident and shrewd man who knows how to make a great deal and give people what they truly want, with his infectious charisma being his strongest trait.
