Name: Ryota Someya Gender: Male Age: 18 years old Height: 5'3" Weight: 105lbs Blood type: A Birthdate: June 26th

Appearance: Ryota is a short, young man with fair skin, blue eyes, and blue hair styled in a loose "bowl cut".

Instead of a dress shirt and tie, he wore a grey hoodie under the standard Hope's Peak Academy blazer. He had several stuffed animals in his pockets: a yellow teddy bear in the left pocket of his blazer, a blue teddy bear in the right pocket, and a green dragon or dinosaur in the front pocket of his hoodie.

Background: Ryota was born in an average family, with his father and mother separated shortly after Ryota's birth, after his father was charged with domestic violence against his mother. Ryota also had a disabled sister who was 2 years older than he was, and she had a mental disability where she remained a literal 2-year-old. In his early childhood, he didn't get along with his sister, as she would break up most of his video game accessories and action figures whenever she had a tantrum. However, as he grew older and his mother became busier with her work, he started learning to repair both his toys and his sister's, even though he hated doing the work, as he wanted to play with his friends. Still, his love for his sister overrode his complaints, and he eventually grew used to repairing toys or even enhancing their features.

By high school, Ryota worked part-time at a toy factory as a toy assembler, largely because his interest in toy-making had slowly grown throughout his life. He sold and bought toys at school, and while he was mocked and teased about his business, Ryota kept going, even though it infuriated him. His toys were actually very useful and uniquely designed for strong connections and comfort, and many people with whom he had done business were more than adequately pleased. Ryota believes that toys have significant value in human development, as they help build emotional bonds and develop empathy in kids, and people would usually get an earful of stern lectures from him if they dismiss his talent. Ryota's passion for his work eventually caught the attention of Hope's Peak Academy, which extended an offer to Ryota to join their Ultimate Talent Program. Ryota accepted their invitation and became the "Ultimate Toy Maker," hoping to use Hope's Peak Academy to create more opportunities for himself.

Personality: Ryota is a serious and aggressive man who's passionate about his work. He's not afraid to speak his mind or argue back if they mess with him. Ryota does have a short temper, lashing out childishly at others who attack his talent or anything that he values. Sometimes, Ryota may get violent, but he isn't too reckless to get involved in unnecessary fights, as he knows when to pick and choose his battles. His argumentative and tough-guy demeanor usually makes him unlikable, but Ryota hardly cares about the idiots around him.

Despite Ryota's somewhat hostile behavior, there are a few redeeming traits that most people would admire him for. For example, Ryota is extremely protective of the people he cares about, as he would selflessly go out of his way to help them whenever they need it. He is a compassionate person, even if his uncaring tone or posture makes it seem otherwise. Despite his posturing, he can be silly at times, doing things that most people would find funny, even in his tirades. He blushes when he is confronted about his softer side, and it may even be endearing to others as he fruitlessly defends himself.

Ryota dislikes being called "short," as he is insecure about his height. He also dislikes being called "cute" or "little brother," even if the endearments remind him of his older sister.
