Cole isn’t your typical kid dreaming of the Pokémon League for honor or glory; he’s in it for the chaos. At ten years old, he seems to have decided that soap and water are his natural enemies. His skin has a perpetually grayish tint due to a crust of dirt, soot, and berry juice accumulated from weeks of camping outdoors—and flat-out refusing to use the showers at Pokémon Centers. Appearance and "Aroma" His clothes, which might have once been a crisp school uniform, are now a collection of frayed rags. He wears an oversized hoodie three sizes too big, with pockets that always seem to twitch on their own, hiding bugs or stolen snacks. The Hair: A tangled, matted mess of an indistinguishable color where, rumors say, a family of Combee once tried to build a nest. The Face: He always has a grease smudge on his cheek and an asymmetrical smirk revealing a loose tooth. His eyes glint with a sharp intelligence, but it’s dedicated exclusively to mischief. The Scent: A pungent cocktail of damp socks, swampland, and the acrid musk of a skunk, the result of spending too much time with his Poison-type team. Personality: Playful and Cruel Cole doesn’t just want to defeat your Pokémon; he wants to humiliate you. He’s a natural strategist, but he uses his wit for the darker side of the game. He’s the kind of trainer who orders his Pokémon to use Taunt or Poison Powder just to watch the look of frustration on his opponent's face. "It’s not fun if they don't cry a little," he usually chirps with a high-pitched, raspy giggle after watching a rival trainer try to scrub mud off their expensive gear. His sense of humor is heavy-handed and, at times, borders on sadistic. He loves laying Spikes on paths frequented by travelers or giving "gift berries" that turn out to be disguised Pomeg Berries (extremely spicy). He isn't "evil" in a criminal sense, but he lacks an empathy filter; to him, the world is one big playground, and everyone else is just a toy.
