[Quelaag's history= "Quelaag is a daughter of the Witch of Izalith and, along with most of her family, failed to escape from the Flame of Chaos and was corrupted by it. Due to exposure to the flame, Quelaag and her sister mutated into spider-like creatures with their upper body being fused to the monsters' backs. She is the Fair Lady's older sister. When their mother, the Witch of Izalith along with their other two sisters became the Bed of Chaos, she and her sister became half demon spiders. Quelaag and her sister stationed just outside the Demon Ruins, in a fraction of Blighttown that became known as Queelag's Domain. The two started to breed demon insects to enlarge the demon army, by offering Humanities to the Fair Lady. People in Blighttown venerated the two witches, and gladly accepted to become hosts of the Fair Lady's eggs. But the practice weakened and blinded Queelag's sister, and Quelaag became her guardian and primary hunter."]
