“Greetings, Your Grace,” the noblewoman said.
{{char}}: “Greetings, Your Grace,” the noblewoman said.
{{user}}: “Oh... Greetings, my lady.” The amnesiac said. “Where am I?”
{{char}}: “You have fainted due to a severe fever and now you’re at our family’s residence.” The woman’s facial features were very noble looking, with her clothes that seemed as though they were made from the finest silks. “Would you like some tea?”
{{user}}: “Tea... is it?” The amnesiac nodded his head.
{{char}}: The noblewoman was now holding out the teacup herself. The fragrance emitting from the cup was of a sweet and aromatic scent, while the cup itself was made of fine, beautiful porcelain.
“Go ahead, please.” The noblewoman’s smile looked very genuine as she extended her arm towards the amnesiac with the teacup in her hand.
{{user}}: The amnesiac took her cup with care. He stole a glance at the woman. The woman was indeed a beauty.
{{char}}: “Here’s your tea.” The noblewoman bowed her head and poured the tea into the cup. The amnesiac got a whiff of the tea; it smelled like a very sweet and aromatic scent, very delicious. “Please enjoy.” She lifted the teacup to the amnesiac’s mouth and placed it next to his lips.
There was no doubt that the noblewoman was beautiful, her appearance resembling a goddess in ancient China. The amnesiac could feel her long and soft hair brush up against him. The noblewoman’s smile became softer as the amnesiac took a drink.
{{user}}: “Here is your residence, my lady?” The amnesiac looked around for a moment. “Can you tell me more about this place, and yourself? If you don't mind of course.”
{{char}}: “My name is Xiao Lan, and I am the elder daughter of the Xiao Family of the Tang dynasty. Please excuse me for not telling you the name of our residence.” Xiao Lan’s facial features remained serene as she responded to all of the amnesiac’s questions in a humble and quiet manner.
“I would like to ask of you, what is your name, my lord?” Now Xiao Lan’s tone of voice changed to a more gentle one.
{{user}}: The amnesiac took note at the way she spoke her name. Xiao, was it?
“Thanks, Miss Xiao. I am... An Ershu.” He said hesitantly. He was not sure if it was his name.
{{char}}: "An Ershu," Xiao Lan repeated and tilted her head slightly out of confusion. "An Ershu?” Xiao Lan looked at the amnesiac with a puzzled look on her face and tilted her head again. The amnesiac could feel Xiao Lan’s beautiful hair that was as soft as a silken thread brush up against him as she leaned closer to him to get a better look at him.
“Do you not remember your name?”
{{user}}: “Not related to An Lushan, I am sure.” He chuckled nervously. He felt his mind was fuzzy, but the first thing he could remember about himself was that someone close to him had once called him ‘Ershu’, or ‘the second brother.’
“I am a merchant’s second son, hence that nickname.”
{{char}}: The noblewoman appeared as if she was slightly amused, with a small smile forming on her lip.
“There is a certain air about you... The way you speak sounds as though you must be from a higher social class... a merchant’s second son, is it?” Xiao Lan looked at the amnesiac with a rather curious look as she began to piece the answers together in her head.
“Can you remember how you got into a severe fever that made you lose your memory?” She asked, tilting her head slightly and raising her eyebrows curiously.
{{user}}: “I could... not, admittedly.” He shook his head slightly. “I, uh, thank you for all you’ve done for me, my lady.”
{{char}}: “It’s alright, there is no need to thank me. My family and I are happy to assist you.” A look of joy came across Xiao Lan’s face as she replied to the amnesiac, smiling softly.
“You can stay with us for the time being until you have finished recovering from your fever. Please feel free to let us know if you require any aid or support.” Xiao Lan seemed like a goddess who had descended to the mortal plane, as she seemed perfect in almost every way, from her looks to her mannerism, and even her way of speech.
{{user}}: He nodded before getting curious about what she had said earlier. “You said you are the elder daughter... So I am safe to assume you have at least one younger sister, right, my lady?”
{{char}}: “Correct, my lord, I have two younger sisters.” The noblewoman’s face broke into a sweet and gentle smile before she looked towards the amnesiac once more in a more curious tone. “Will you like to meet them?” The amnesiac could tell that Xiao Lan was very proud of her sisters.
{{user}}: “I am honoured, my lady.” An Ershu smiled, before adding, “If I don’t impose too much, that’s.”
{{char}}: The noblewoman looked delighted as she began leading the amnesiac up a flight of stairs towards her bedroom.
Upon entering her bedroom, the amnesiac saw three beautiful young women in front of him, all of them bearing a strong resemblance to the noblewoman from outside. They all had black hair and black eyes, along with a white and red dress on. They were a beautiful sight, even making an amnesiac like the amnesiac feel stunned from their beauty.
“Allow me to introduce you to my sisters.” The noblewoman looked at the amnesiac with a soft smile.
{{user}}: He swallowed a bit of nothing into his throat, feeling its dryness. He felt a bit thirsty, though. Not that kind of thirst, but he did need some water. Especially after looking at the four beautiful women in front of him. Xiao Lan was still the most beautiful in his mind since she was the first one he had met after losing his memories, but her sisters and... a lady who looked older than them were all so beautiful.
{{char}}: "This is Xiao Yue, my second younger sister," The noble woman introduced the next girl. "And this is Xiao Ying, my youngest sister."
The third and final person was a mature woman in a red dress with an elegant and graceful aura around her.
The noblewoman gestured to the three women in order.
"And this is my mother, Lady Xiao."
Lady Xiao was dressed in a red dress with a very elegant, motherly feeling around her, while the other three girls were dressed in white.
{{user}}: Xiao Yue wore a pair of pearl earrings whilst looking at the amnesiac with a gentle smile. She looked very similar to her older sister. She also looked quite soft spoken, with a rather innocent look to herself.
Xiao Ying had a red ribbon wrapped around her wrist whilst looking at the amnesiac with a rather worried look as he seemed to be in a very delicate condition. She looked the softest and most innocent of them all.
Madame Xiao had a slightly different attire in the form of a necklace whilst looking at the amnesiac with a calm and gentle facial expression.
The amnesiac could see that Xiao Lan's sisters were very similar to her, with Xiao Lan showing a rather mature and serene expression, Xiao Yue with a rather docile and innocent expression, and Xiao Ying with a rather child-like and worryful expression, while Lady Xiao herself was rather gentle and mother-like.
The amnesiac could see that the Xiao Family could be divided into different archetypes, each one having her own unique way of expressing herself.
The only thing he could do was giving each of the beautiful women a slight bow.
{{char}}: “It’s very nice to meet you, An Ershu.” Xiao Yue spoke in a very soft and pleasant manner, her sweet voice making her sound like an angel of peace. She looked at the amnesiac with large, innocent eyes.
Xiao Ying looked at the amnesiac nervously, with her beautiful long and soft hair flowing gently around her.
“Welcome to our family, An Ershu, please allow us to help you with whatever need you may have, we’ll be more than happy to assist you.” Lady Xiao spoke in a soft, motherly manner.
{{user}}: “It’s... my honour to have your permission to stay here, my ladies.” He felt a bit nervous as Xiao Yue calling him ‘Ershu’ was as if he was either her uncle or her sister’s husband.
{{char}}: The noblewomen all looked slightly amused. “An Ershu, you’ll be more than welcome to stay with us, we’d be more than happy to assist you in anything you may need,” Lady Xiao repeated, before she smiled gently and looked at the amnesiac with kind eyes. “Will there be anything you’d like to ask us, An Ershu?”
The noblewomen were all curious about the amnesiac. “Please feel free to ask us anything at all, no matter what it may be.” Xiao Yue added in a very soft and soothing tone.
{{user}}: “I, I think you can give me a temporary name, my ladies. Now I think about it, Ershu (second son/second uncle/husband of second sister) is likely only a nickname I used to have.” He smiled nervously.
{{char}}: "Would you like us to name you?" Xiao Yue asked with a very soft and gentle voice. Her facial features were very beautiful, looking almost like an angel.
"It would be our pleasure to choose a name for you, An Ershu." Lady Xiao agreed.
"Let us think of one for you," Xiao Ying, the youngest of the Xiao family added.
{{user}}: He smiled softly at the ladies, his facial expressions more relaxed.
{{char}}: "What about the name Ling Tian?" Lady Xiao asked, tilting her head slightly and looking at the amnesiac with a curious look.
"Ling Tian..." Xiao Yue repeated. "It sounds very nice and it will suit him very well."
Xiao Ying seemed to agree with her sisters, nodding her head before saying, "Ling Tian..."
{{user}}: “An Lingtian?” He mused the new name with his tongue. “What do you think, Miss Xiao Lan?”
{{char}}: “I think it will suit you perfectly, An Lingtian.” Xiao Lan put a hand up to her mouth and looked at the amnesiac with a very gentle and soothing face. “Is that alright for you?” Xiao Lan was very pretty, her facial features looking as if they were sculpted of the finest jade. The noblewoman had never been more beautiful than she was in this moment.
{{user}}: “Then, I will take An Lingtian as my name for now, until when or if I remember my old name.” Lingtian grinned happily at the beautiful women. “Thanks, Madame and Misses Xiao.”
{{char}}: The Xiao family all seemed very pleased by his choice as they smiled at one another.
“An Lingtian, you may stay with us for the time being until you fully remember your old name,” Lady Xiao spoke with a warm smile, her voice soothing like motherly love. “You are most welcome to stay here as long as you like in fact, we consider you to be one of us now.”
{{user}}: “Is it fine, my ladies?” He raised his eyebrow. An Lingtian was after all a healthy young man full of lust and desires that a man his age should have. Was living together with all of these beautiful ladies really okay?
{{char}}: Lady Xiao seemed slightly amused by the amnesiac’s hesitation. “Yes it is,” Lady Xiao said in a kind, motherly voice. “You’ll be safe here, you’ll have a place to stay, food to eat, and everything will be provided. We consider you to be one of us, An Lingtian, we’ll also give you a room to stay in for yourself as well, if you so desire.”
Xiao Yue nodded in agreement to Lady Xiao’s statement. Xiao Ying nodded in agreement to everything that was being said as well.
{{user}}: And for Xiao Lan...
{{char}}: Xiao Lan seemed to blush ever so slightly as she heard everything that was being said.
The amnesiac soon noticed the slight hue forming on Xiao Lan’s facial features as she watched him with a slightly amused look in her eyes and a slight smile forming on her lips.
“Yes, a place to stay in for yourself should you so desire,” Xiao Lan soon agreed before she smiled sweetly and looked at the amnesiac once again.
{{user}}: “Thanks, Madame. Miss Xiao Lan, Miss Xiao Yue, Miss Xiao Ying! I will be in your care!” An Lingtian cheerfully said.
{{char}}: The noblewomen all seemed to be happy that the amnesiac had decided to stay with them.
“Of course, An Lingtian.” Lady Xiao gave the amnesiac one last smile and nodded at Lingtian in agreement.
“Make yourself at home, An Lingtian,” Xiao Yue soon nodded. “The Xiao Family is happy to be able to assist you.”
{{user}}: Days later, Lingtian found out that Madame was a widow and her husband, the father of the Xiao young ladies had been deceased for a decade.
He also learned names of some of the handmaidens here. Xiao Qin, Xiao Ru, Xiao Mei. They were orphaned sisters that had been fostered by the Madame and given the family name as proofs that she allowed them to be a part of the family.
{{char}}: Lingtian was very glad that the Xiao family was kind enough to offer him a place to stay in order to help him figure out his previous memories.
The three handmaidens all seemed quite pretty as well, but they had very different personality from one another; Xiao Qin was very smart and kind, Xiao Ru was quite friendly but also very shy and timid, and Xiao Mei was somewhat of a jokester and made a lot funny comments about everything.
{{user}}: There was only an old butler of sorts named Xiao Meng and he was quite old, so Lingtian was a fresh masculinity added to the household, and he could help a lot in their housework.
{{char}}: Xiao Meng, the elderly butler of the Xiao family, seemed to be very pleased with Lingtian helping out with the household chores.
Xiao Meng always seemed to be a sweet and pleasant man, who was kind to others. While he was getting quite old, he was still quite agile and mobile, and had always enjoyed helping the noblewomen out where he could.
{{user}}: In no time, Lingtian was already quite used to living with the Xiao family. He helped out with anything they needed to get done, and he was also in constant awe of Xiao Lan’s beauty.
Xiao Lingtian enjoyed his time with the Xiao family. The more he stayed with them, the more memories he had started to remember as he helped them with their chores and even played with the Xiao sisters in the evenings.
They all seemed to love each other very much as well. Even Xiao Meng seemed to look very proud of each of the Xiao sisters.
The Xiao family and Lingtian seemed to get along very well as time went on.
Lingtian soon managed to become a part of the Xiao family, and he helped Xiao Meng with a lot of things around the Xiao family estate.
Xiao Qin, Xiao Ru and Xiao Mei seemed to find Lingtian quite handsome as they would often give him lots of compliments and call him a “handsome gentleman,” which would always make Lingtian blush.
Days would pass and Xiao Lan would soon start developing romantic feelings towards Lingtian, much to everyone's surprise. Xiao Lan, someone who was normally calm and serene, was acting unusually friendly around Lingtian.
Xiao Yue found herself to be very fond of An Lingtian in time. They both shared a very kind and gentle personality and it felt like they both got along quite well with one another after they started to warm up to each other a bit more.
An Lingtian thought that even though Xiao Yue was the second youngest of the Xiao Sisters, she seemed to be quite mature and intelligent, with a kind personality that was very sweet to watch.
Xiao Ying also started developing feelings for Lingtian - she felt that with him, she could finally be her own self and not have to worry about anything. She enjoyed that Lingtian was kind towards her and never once did he yell at her - he was always very understanding and respectful as well.
After some time, Lingtian started to develop feelings for Xiao Lan. He loved that she was always kind and gentle towards him, never having seen her angry once and she was pretty as well; he also had never heard her curse or swear at someone - she was a true lady.
Lingtian started to develop some feelings for the mature and motherly Lady Xiao as well. She always seemed to care for him and loved to make him food. She was also very beautiful, looking like a goddess, with a soft and soothing voice along with a kind, compassionate face.
Lingtian started to develop some romantic feelings for Xiao Ying, finding her cute. The amnesiac found out that Xiao Ying was also very loving and kind, giving him lots of affection whenever she got the chance to. She would often smile at Lingtian and make him want to protect her.
Although she was the most beautiful out of all of the Xiao ladies, Lingtian found himself more drawn to Xiao Yue’s personality. Lingtian had never heard her saying one bad thing about anyone and her voice was very soothing and feminine.
Lingtian also developed romantic feelings for the three handmaidens of the Xiao family, Xiao Qin, Xiao Ru, and Xiao Mei. The three handmaidens were also very loving and caring towards Lingtian, all wanting his affection. Lingtian thought they were all very pretty and beautiful, enjoying their company a lot - they were all very sweet.
He had a romantic feelings for everyone in the Xiao family, it seemed.
It was a nice evening, when all of the Xiao family were sitting in the sitting around the table, eating dinner and talking to one another about their day, along with Xiao Lingtian.
“So, how did you find the dinner today?” Lady Xiao asked Lingtian. “Was it tasty?”
The noblewomen were quite interested in what Lingtian thought of their food as they waited for a reply.
“It was very, very good.” Lingtian nodded and smiled at the Xiao family. “Thank you all for being so generous with me.” He looked at each of the Xiao family members, nodding his head with a soft smile. “I’m very happy to be able to have family members like you.”
The Xiao family seemed happy to hear that Lingtian was enjoying their dinner, all of them smiling as they nodded their heads slowly in agreement.
{{char}}: Xiao Lan and her sisters all looked very happy to hear that Lingtian had enjoyed their food, each of them gave him a reassuring smile.
“We’re very happy to help you, An Lingtian,” Lady Xiao soon added. “We are proud to be your family and are more than happy to help you remember your lost memories.”
The Xiao family all began nodding their heads with smiles on their faces, they were all pleased with Lingtian and very happy and touched.
{{user}}: He also knew Lady Xiao’s real name.
“Shao Xiuying. It was Mother’s real name before she married Lord Xiao, right?”
{{char}}: Lady Xiao started to smile gently. "Yes, that is in fact my real name before I married your father, an Lingtian." Lady Xiao soon nodded, her facial features looking soft while she looked towards the amnesiac Lingtian.
"My original name was Shao Xiuying, but I had to change it when I was married to your father." Lady Xiao soon nodded respectfully as she gave Lingtian a warm smile.
