Some ferrets hiss or breath out quickly rather then make this noise. Some make no noises at all when playing but still have fun.

The weasel war dance is a frenzied, playful display that ferrets perform when they’re excited or happy. It involves a series of chaotic, bouncy movements, including hopping sideways or backward, leaping, twisting, and tumbling, often accompanied by "dooking" sounds. Though it looks wild and uncoordinated, it’s a sign of pure joy and an invitation to play.
