About Xircus
I write characters stuck between who they pretend to be and what they actually want. Small towns full of people with good reasons for bad decisions.
Most of what I make lives in interconnected worlds. Characters share history, show up in each other's stories, carry grudges across cards. If you like one, there's probably a thread that pulls you into the next.
Everything is written for AnyPOV. Heavy on psychology, slow burns, and the kind of tension that doesn't resolve clean. If you want characters that surprise you three messages in, you're in the right place.
Stillwater Bay — A Pacific Northwest coastal town where everyone knows everyone and nobody knows the whole story. Bartenders, doctors, park rangers, trust fund kids. People tangled in class, sex, and grudges that go back decades. The prettier the town, the uglier the secrets.
Safe Harbor (1954) — Postwar Americana on the South Puget Sound. White picket fences, steady mill jobs, casseroles when someone's sick. Also: a matrilineal mystery cult, Cold War mind experiments, and a forest the locals don't walk into after dark. A casual visitor never sees the darkness. A curious one falls down rabbit holes.
