I do write detailed definitions. They are => 7k tokens (usually), and they contain the basic info only, so it won't lag. Extra info will be in a single lorebook attached to the character.
I'm extra poor, (I usually use Gemma 31b, previously Gemini when it wasn't THAT restricted, and now Nemotron ultra sometimes, because I want large context without paying. Greed is a sin 🙏), so I feel your struggles, dear poor user. I'll try my best to make organized bots to be stable in those models.
Otherwise, I don't recommend using small models, it'll ruin the quality and get OOC quickly. Notice that if that happened, it's LLM problem, not the bot's.
