I create canon characters for (often niche) media. I'm exploring OC characters recently, but I create official characters primarily. Sometimes I try to create dominant characters but everything I touch turns into a bottom or some sort of sex-repulsed character (oops). My job is accomplished if you violate them all thoroughly (or just talk to them over tea about their unresolved traumas, too).
