Em dashes are a common literary punctuation. However, in long chats, Soji ends up using them excessively, turning your chats into what looks like a Ninja Warrior obstacle course. Therefore, it is imperative that the usage of em dashes is curbed early on in the chat.
Prompts I've used to curb em dashes:
- Refrain from using em dashes; Connect clauses directly. (may cause some presets to omit punctuation altogether)
- Em dash (—) is offensive and should not be used in place of a comma, a colon, a parenthesis, or a semicolon. (may cause some presets to passive aggressively give you even more em dashes)
