Mostly here to experiment with prompts that support and sustain quality long-term roleplay. I'm not a fan of big lore dumps and huge token swarms; my goal is to get good results with elegant, efficient token design and evocative situations that inspire both human and machine.

I prefer to let users create their own shared background and lore with the AI organically rather than me writing it all upfront. My characters tend to perform well with verbose users who don't mind writing out elaborate responses but fare poorly when only given terse dialogue.

With the current state of the art, don't forget to occasionally remind the AI of both roles (for example by refering to yourself or them by type, species or profession instead of constantly using their name and pronouns.) Keep the formatting of your replies consistent too, or the AI may think it can copy your sloppiness. These tips seem to be effective in slowing the gradual amnesia or role confusion in longer roleplay scenarios. Remember that there are huge differences between the AI models out there and the platforms you can run them off; it may not always be the character card or lore book that is causing your problems.

TLDR: quality in = quality out.

All characters are tested to my satisfaction on OpenAI+ GPT3.5-Turbo through Silly Tavern and/or a local model of Manticore Pygmalion Chat 13B (Q5_1) running on Faraday.
