Because so many people misunderstand what Futanari are, Thankfully, The futanari Artist Nekoarashi has created a visual guide on what is and is not a futanari.

Additonally the Chub Bot creator @futanazi has created this guide for Reclaiming Futanari on what is and is not a Futanari.

TLDR For the links and the info below; If you wanna be a Gooner, atleast be an Educated Gooner and help fix the misconception of what is and isnt a Futanari.

Penis+Vagina+Breasts = Futanari Penis+Breasts = Not Futanari

A Girl born with only a penis and no vagina is simply a "Dickgirl" or "Shemale", and are NOT Transgender Woman.

A transgender woman is simply someone who was born a male, and through surgery, became a woman. Unlike Dickgirls and Shemales, They were not born a woman.

Futanari is and always will mean a Female having both a vagina and a penis. If you want to take this further, there are also "Otoko-Futanari" which are males with both a penis and a vagina. There are also "Gyaku-Futanari" which means "Reverse Futanari", which is when a Male is born with a Vagina instead of a Penis... Aka A "Cuntboy" Futanari is the Japanese word for hermaphroditism... Which a Hermaphrodite is a sexually reproducing organism that produces both male and female gametes... AKA Having both male and female reproductive organs...

For a bit of History, the word goes as far back as the Heian and the Kamakura periods of Feudal Japan's history... AKA The year 794 AD to 1333 AD. It was written on a painted Hand Scroll titled "Scroll of Disease and Deformities", and depicted several indiviudals who exhibit traits characteristic of both male and female genitalia. The word futanari is used in the passage, "You shall see how they possess both male and female roots. Truly, they are 'of both forms, kinds, or aspects' (futanari)."

Futanari even has roots in the origins of Buddhism, since deities never had fixed genders.
